The experienced and compassionate physicians of Unity Medical Group provide primary care, Ob-Gyn and dental care, and a range of specialty services at ten locations. Unity recently announced its largest expansion and modernization project ever. It will include the addition of 85 inpatient beds at Unity Hospital, and renovation and upgrades for all existing patient rooms; replacement of Park Ridge Living Center with new ‘cottage style’ residences, and expansion of The Villages, its premier senior living community to include memory care, a new assisted living center, and expanded common spaces for activities and education. The multi-year project will begin in fall 2008.

The exhibit included interactive activities for families that involved making canola oil, examining seeds under a microscope, designing packages for products and identifying “good” versus “bad” germs. However, according to Fran Tepper, Executive Director of the Monroe County Fair and Recreation Association, the activity that caught the attention of the Agricultural Awareness Committee was the lady bug exhibit that demonstrated integrated pest management. Each child was given a lady bug to take home.
The “Agriculture is Everywhere” exhibit will be a part of future Monroe County Fairs with new activities added each year. The 2008 Monroe County fair is slated for July 9-13.
