Unfortunately we do not have an alpaca show planned at this time. We’d love to have enough interest to start one!
Also, we are inviting interested alpaca owners to do demonstration exhibits this year (currently we have two). If you have alpacas you would like to bring to the fair or you would like to help us start an alpaca show, please email us at monroefair@gmail.com!

Unfortunately, we will not be having a pageant this year, sorry. We do have many other competitions that youth and adults can enter listed under the “Exhibitors” link.

We are talking to them about coming back, but until they finalize their commitment, we can’t promise that they will be here this year, sorry. The new location is a big change for all our exhibitors to deal with too.

Do you have a open horse show at the fair? Or is it just for 4-Hers to compete?

Our horse show is an open one, yes! We have both adult and youth divisions for exhibitors, but they are in the same show program (dept 17 Open Horse)

Where will the horse show portion of the fair be held? What type of footing?

We will have a wood-fenced arena roughly 100′ in from Hubbell Rd, just south of the grass driveway back to where the current horse trailer parking is. There will be trailer parking right near it. Footing will be screened clay-sand mix.

Why no pageant?

With all the changes to the fair this year and no longer having full-time staff from the old Expo Center, our volunteers simply did not have time or resources to coordinate it for this year alone. We plan to bring it back next year!
